- Sheonagh emailed information that brano demanded about conversion rates and information about applicants.
this is that mail.
"Hi Branislav
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I have dozens of spreadsheet with statistics on admissions and enrolments but there isn’t one that answers all your questions! What I have attached her is an extract from this years PG Annual Course Appraisal that will give you the number of applicant to the number of students this year and the conversion of application to student stats from last year.
It’s difficult to go back further than this in a meaningful way as you’re probably not be comparing like with like as the courses have changed, however, I’ll try and do a report that shows this for you but it might take me a while.
The other issue is that the way that applications are being processed has changed significantly. In effect this year applications that would not normally be entered onto the admissions system have been processed. In previous years only applications with full documentation are entered onto the admissions system this year those with partial documents have also been included. The effect has been to inflate the number of applications and therefore this has had a negative impact on our conversion rate.
Postgraduate numbers have increased year on year apart from this year. Also have to bear in mind that due to the prevailing economic conditions this year has been particularly challenging for PG recruitment.
There are a number of things that we have done this year to try and convert applicants – Madeleine can give you full details. It will range from webchats, emails to all conditionals, unconditional applicants and enhanced information for distance learning students.
Hope this helps, if you need any more information perhaps we could meet next week?
Regards
Sheonagh"

Ok this is good....Copy paste these:
Dan spoke to ITdesk about most used video equipment by RGU students and RGU itself.
Dan contacted the three Aberdeen video equipment rental companies (AVC Hire & Sales, AVC Media Productions, Aberdeen Audio Visual) to check rental prices for similar equipment the group will use from ABS.
Also add that
The Video equipment rental companies got back to me and the most conclusive email was from Mark Birnie (Aberdeen AV)
"We do have a Sony Z1 camcorder and Manfrotto tripod and also Sennheiser lavalier mics. We dont have any lights. Daily prices are £80.00 for the camera, £15.00 for the tripod and £30.00 per radio mic.
If you took all 3 for 3 days we would charge £280.00 + vat."
