filming winter rgaduations

right ive got permission to film winter graduations. we are gonna film the abs one. whos is with me to help??

i want to help, when and where ? do u want me to book any equipment ?

it's on 9 and 10th of December. One day should be enough for a 5 seconds footage...anyway, i'm in!

yea im not sure whats going to happen. ive asked izzy for advice (emailed her) cause the one we have to film (abs graduations) is during our class time. we only need 2 people 2 go it. so if you like uz can go, and i can sort out paperwork out.

the dude who is leeting us film it is very concerned about permission. so im going to get him to sign location clearance forms and when ur there if u are only filming an individual u need to get them 2 sign an apearance clearance forms, which i will get sorted on.

aye we need to get equipment sorted - i would suggest only one camera, tripod and onboard mic, headphones and tapes we provide. anything else?

Ok, that's ok...brano and i should do the filming and technical stuff...I am also curious to know what exactly happens at these kinds of events, coz we might not even need a tripod...

sure thats fine. id get a tripod incase. ill make sure that i get a tripod bag from tech department so that it is easier to carry around. Id get shots outside - should get some pretty natural shots here. And inside (which i still have to confirm that we are allowed to film inside) just start in the middle at the back of the hall and get a wide shot.

It may be a better idea to get 2 cameras. cause then u can have one camera on wide shot at the back of the hall. and 1 person at the front with a camera getting close ups. That would be better. obiously means more footage. so i would suggest to start editing this asap, this will make it easier for yourselves. so pick out 30secs out of all the footage from the shooting and leave that until we deiced what is best to used at the end.

Ok, you're right...it's better to get the most amount of shots possible..

Does anybody have any idea what types of cameras they use in uni? I need to describe the material in my part of the proposal and i never thought to ask...if nobody knows, i can send jack or tim a mail...

we will probably use sony hvr-z7 or z5 (i hate both of them BTW)
i think that it would be better to use two of em, you know more shot, angles,...
still getting sick thinking about asking all of them for permission to tape them... och

the uni use Z1, Z5 and Z7. Sonys they are. If you type this in google, you will get the full name of the cameras. Mind to put sound and lighting equipment in the proposal too.

oh and editing software too - include that in proposal.

i know but we have to do it- jonathan would only let us do it if we get permission forms signed.
