I have also just emailed Peter Reid - in charge of postgrad courses in ABS. Explaining what our project is and if we can arrange a meeting for next week.

Barbara Jones is the RGU Events Manager and should be able to help or let you know who to contact about each event. I've copied Barbara into this email.

I spoke to Rita briefly about the DL video and she has mentioned that (ideally) this one would be generic and could focus on a range of students from all courses (as Sheonagh mentioned we don't have a huge DL cohort for Corp Comm & Public Affairs specifically). Rita also mentioned that it might be nice to film the MBA students during leadership week (this is when the DL MBA cohort are required to be on campus - I'll try and find out some dates etc and let you know before or at our meeting).

add that ive arranged a meeting with peter reid for next tuesday at 5pm. ill ask him for at level 4 reception.

also add that izzy emailed me contact details for jenny brown. she is the alumni relations manager. Ive emailed her to arrange a meeting for next week

Abi met Rita Marcella for an interview.
Dan and Brano handed out and collected surveys from post-grads

What was discussed:
Abi notified the team with Rita Marcella's perspective. Some changes to the final outcome of the videos have been taken into consideration:
- POV (point of view) shooting style
- The city presentation part should be sped up and presented like a journey from the city airport to the university, while going through certain markets and events noticeable in the city's social life.
- include events such as: International Week (held by ABS), Graduation in December, Society Ball among others.
Additionally, one video might be added, which will include the distance learners.
The possibility of including shots of places to eat, student accommodation, culture, history and nightlife


What we need to do for next meeting:
finish individual parts of the proposal
discuss each part and link them together
discuss the structure of the individual verbal presentations
complete the theoretical structure of each videos
discuss the structure of the “Distance Learning” video
Consider the possible post-grads contacts to be interviewed next year
contact Barbara Jones, the RGU events manager, to help us with the aforementioned events
considering the possibility of dividing Linzi Craig's proposal part between the other three members of the group

- The communication problem between post-grads and RGU lies in efficiency - too much info is given, too much details makes them not read it. We need to find out what info do they actually need and will read?
- Include oil and gas industry for branding. Rita can easily arrange for us to see companies like BP
- Concentrate on overseas students
- Make a snippet video on about 30 seconds which can be put on the website and for lecturers to see.
- show the real Aberdeen, cold, but sunny and dry
