Course videos

Did you's get the feedback email from Madeleine? Quite some good points on it. I am meeting with her week after next and we will go through them. I will post up on here what is decided.

Also, Madeleine emailed me last week with the following :

"I totally forgot and meant to tell you today that our MSc International Marketing Management with Retailing course has been cessated. This is very recent and means that we won't be recruiting any more students for this course. You might be quite interested in doing something for a new course which will be starting in September - MSc fashion management"

ok, i've spoken to branislav and he said he can get the polish post-grad for an interview probably next weekend...we can also get some city shots and night life shots one of these weekends...and then we need an event to film it...and we can get a solid trailer-type minute out of that....

Next weekend I am in Skye.. i go away friday to sunday. What day can he/she do it?

How about getting a camera out this weekend? I can do University shots tomorrow. Then meet up on Saturday, and get shots around the city. I don't think night life is important for this taster to be honest. If we get 2 nights of night life footage next couple months, we can get some good stuff for the actual videos. Shots around the city - we could go down union st, music hall, arts centre, hmt and rgu union. What do you think?

We do need an event to film.. one of us could contact hmt/music hall and see if they would let us film something next couple weeks. if not, I have got footage of gigs etc from the last year, so that can be used as a back up plan.

What date do you think we should set ourselves to have it finished/edited by??

brano and i can go saturday morning to film das sunrise and some planes landing in dyce....then we can meet in the city around 11 and film shit in the centre...i suppose we can film the interview next weekend...you're right about night life, no need for that yet....

Aye even if you just get the sunrise that will be fine. Because Dyce aiport we will definetly be using in the final videos. And I filmed there at college, cops were onto me and everything about filming even though I had permission. Usually takes a while to get it sorted too! Meet in the city sure at 11. Shouldnt take too long. Get couple tapes worth max. Well if you do it through the week, then I can help too. I am filming until 4pm on wednesday for placement. so if you get the girl/boy to come in then we can do it

also,i think we should try and ask rita to give us a week after the placement...we can provide this by the middle of march...she probably forgot about placement or something...this really isn't right

ok, i'll ask brano to get me in touch with the pole....and yeah, that should be fine, 11 on saturday...i think i'm off to sleep, i didn't get much sleep yesterday...i'll be online tomorrow probably coz there's not much to do around avc...

Okay what about equipment though? I can easily get it out tomorrow. But i will have to meet you sometime tomorrow to give you the equipment since yous filming sunrise on saturday morning. where are you thinking to film it? I will check make sure what the weather is like.. just incase we have snow!! Cool I hope Brano will be okay with this. He said he couldnt come on here tonight because he is working and he cant get on anyway, because he has no internet.

i'll get a camera too, through my cousin, tomorrow, so don't worry...i don't think you should get one, coz one should be enough for exterior shots....and if the weather is really really bad we have to abandon it, coz we can't get shots on shitty weather...hopefully that's not gonna be the case...

hei, sorry for not getting back to you....i have a terrible cold and i've been sitting in bed since saturday...if i'm better i'll swing by uni tomorrow to borrow a camera...if you have 10 minutes we can meet...i'll probably be there around 1-2....

we haven't filmed anything this weekend, hopefully next weekend will be a sunny one and we will be able to get some shots. About the interview, I can speak to the guy if he's available sometime this week or next after 6pm...i can come to uni after placement and we can film the interview...are you in uni tomorrow?

i'll contact the pole tomorrow and try to schedule an interview for next week. And hopefully we get to film something this weekend, and then we edit shit in the last placement week....

Aye im in uni every day for placement.. I can film the interview and you edit it since you work all day at avc. tell her to come in one of these days next week - monday/tuesday/wednesday after 2pm, thur and fri anytime between 9am and 5pm

about the fashion management question, I think we should keep it simple, maybe ask some of the same question you've asked before...at this point we don't need to complicate things more..hopefully she doesn't want rainbows and unicorns but fucking bunnies in the video, because we already got quite a lot of stuff we need to include in our 2-min video...

also, the polish interview is off, so is there any way we can contact anyone else to interview next week?

abi, could you pls pls pls pls book a camera tomorrow? I want to shoot a timelapse over aberdeen from avc (you can see the whole city from there) and it would be a perfect addition to the video...hopefully it will be sunny on friday as well...so pls book a camera over the weekend and if you can, is it ok if we meet on holburn at around 6pm tomorrow so you cand give it to me? that's where you live now, right? if not, tell me where I can come at 6, so i can get the camera, but don't tell me inverurie or smth ....

yea i met with fashion management and international retailing management today in the info session that they have once a year to invite new students into the course. i wrote a few notes and got some ideas for videos, will show them to you next weekend when we meet. totally agree, fashion management video is going to be simple though. because this is the first year they have started the course so we wont have an awful lot to film anway. it will really just be of course lecturer and a couple of undergraduates in fashion course. one problem is corp comm, because jack keenan is like impossile to get hold of through email. but im working it on twitter at the mo, and he seems to use that more often. im going to meet with course lecturers the first week we go back into uni. i will let you know of times if you want to come. it would be helpful if you could, so that one person could write down what they say and the other asks questions.
no probs.. maybe even if we just get a course lecturer like izzy or madeleine talking briefly about the project, that way they are much easier to contact with and organise. they are also very reliable too.
trailer doesnt have a due date but if we want to do it, we need to get it done by end of march. it wont really take long to do, its just cause of placement at the mo is taking up all our time. it will be much better when we go back to uni.
ive already got a camera out.im in uni tomorrow, but could easily meet you somewhere to give it ya? im filming tmrw morning at 10am but only for 20 mins so will need it then. im also going to a house party tmrw at 7pm on king st.. so earlier i can give it ya the better please yes im on holburn road.
